(01) How it’s done
On the day
A high-sensitivity test from the morning draw, able to pick up very low levels of inflammation.
A recent cold or a hard training session can raise it, so we repeat it if the first result looks out of keeping with the rest.
(02) Why it matters
What it tells us
Chronic low-grade inflammation feeds heart disease, diabetes and cognitive decline.
hs-CRP responds to sleep, body fat, gum health and training. It is a useful check that the rest of the plan is working.
(03) Same system
Metabolism & blood
Measured on the same day, read by the same physician.
