(01) How it’s done
On the day
A flash photograph of each retina at 07:52, before anything else, so your pupils are not affected by the rest of the day.
We measure the width of the small arteries and veins and look for any damage.
(02) Why it matters
What it tells us
Your retina is the only place in the body where we can see small blood vessels directly.
They mirror the small vessels of your brain and heart, and they change early with blood pressure and blood sugar.
(03) Same system
Brain & sleep
Measured on the same day, read by the same physician.
